Hey everyone! Pastor Blake here. Trusting God is often easier said than done, isn’t it? We all have those moments when we cling to control, fearing what might happen if we let go. But what if the true peace we seek is found in releasing our grip and trusting God completely? Let’s dive in together and discover what trusting Him wholeheartedly looks like on today’s HOPE journey!

🙏 HUMBLE

Begin this time pondering the following questions:

1. What are you thankful for today?

2. What burdens, fears, or areas of sin do you need to release to God today?

Now, let’s ask God to help us find HOPE in Him today:

“Lord, help me to trust You with my whole heart today. Open my eyes to see Your faithfulness and lead me to trust You more deeply. Amen.”

📖 OBSERVE

Now, let’s observe what God has to say in His Word:

Devotional Reflection:

• Verse 5a – “Trust in the Lord with all your heart”

Trusting God with all your heart means letting go of doubt and hesitation. In Hebrew, the word “trust” conveys a sense of complete reliance and vulnerability. God doesn’t want half-hearted trust; He desires every part of you to rest securely in Him.

• Verse 5b – “Do not depend on your own understanding”

Our understanding is limited, but God’s wisdom is infinite. Depending on our own reasoning often leads to anxiety and confusion. God invites us to step away from self-reliance and lean on His perfect understanding.

• Verse 6a – “Seek his will in all you do”

Seeking God’s will isn’t a passive act. It requires intentionality—bringing every choice and moment to Him in prayer. Trusting Him means actively pursuing His purpose and plan.

• Verse 6b – “He will show you which path to take”

This promise assures us that when we trust and seek God, He directs our steps. His guidance may not always align with our expectations, but it is always for our good.

2. How does letting go of your own understanding and seeking God’s guidance change your perspective?

What is one area where God is encouraging you to grow or change?

Sharing Hope & Encouraging Others:

Share a story of God’s faithfulness in your life with a friend or family member. Encourage them to place their trust in Him as well.

Pray and Serve:

Pray for someone you know who is struggling to trust God. Reach out with a word of encouragement or offer to pray with them.
