How to Pray with Confidence, Even When You Don’t Feel It
😊☀️👋🏻 Good morning, friend!
Welcome to Day 3 of Daily Hope! Today we’re exploring what it means to pray with bold confidence, even when we don’t feel particularly bold or confident. Let’s dive in and see how God’s grace changes the way we approach Him.
Personal Devotion:
📖 Today’s Word:
“Dear friends, if we don’t feel guilty, we can come to God with bold confidence.”
— 1 John 3:21 (NLT)
💡 Heart of the Message:
Confidence can be hard to grasp, especially in our prayer life. When we feel weighed down by guilt or unworthiness, it’s easy to hold back and approach God with hesitation. But John reminds us that, because of God’s grace, we can pray with confidence—not based on how we feel, but on what God has done for us through Christ.
In Hebrews 4:16, we’re invited to approach God’s throne of grace boldly. This isn’t a confidence that comes from our own strength; it’s a confidence rooted in Jesus’ work on our behalf. Knowing that we’re accepted, loved, and forgiven empowers us to pray with boldness, trusting that God hears us and that He cares deeply about our needs.
Imagine if you could approach God with the same confidence you’d have in a trusted friend, knowing you’re loved and understood. This is what God wants for you—a confident, unguarded relationship with Him. God knows you completely and wants you to approach Him boldly, trusting in His love and care.
❓ Reflect and Respond:
Digging Deeper: How would you describe your current level of confidence in prayer? What holds you back from approaching God boldly?
Applying the Text: Next time you pray, come to God with confidence. Start by thanking Him for His grace that allows you to be open and honest with Him, then bring your requests to Him boldly, trusting that He hears you.
🎯 Live It Out:
Today, practice praying with boldness. Bring everything to God—the good, the bad, and the challenging—and trust that He hears and cares for you deeply.

👨👩👧 Family Devotion:
💬 Family Devotion:
Have you ever felt nervous about asking someone for help? Maybe you didn’t want to bother them or weren’t sure they would listen. But here’s the amazing thing about God: we can always talk to Him confidently. He’s always ready to listen, and we never have to be afraid to come to Him.
Today’s verse tells us that we can come to God with bold confidence. That means we don’t need to hold back or be scared. God loves us so much, and He wants us to talk to Him about everything, big or small.
🗣️ Talk It Over:
Ask your kids: Have you ever felt nervous about asking God for help? How does it feel to know that God always wants to listen to you?
🎯 Family Mission:
Make it a point this week to pray as a family with confidence. Whether it’s a meal prayer or a bedtime prayer, encourage each other to talk openly to God, knowing He cares.
🎤 Sing Together:
